Accounting Support for Domiciliary & Supported Living Providers

I help care providers simplify their finances, stay compliant with CQC, and focus on what truly matters — delivering outstanding care.

Speak to a specialist — no pressure, just clarity.

Meet Syed
Your Health & Social Care Accountant

I’m JAFA’s dedicated accountant for domiciliary care and supported living providers. I work exclusively with:
  • CQC-regulated providers
  • Ofsted-regulated supported living providers
  • Supported living providers
  • Supported accommodation providers
  • Domiciliary care agencies

"Most providers I speak to are either falling behind on compliance, unclear on their true profits, or stressed about payroll and staffing costs. My job is to simplify all of that — so you can focus on delivering outstanding care."

“Syed helped us get our books in order, register for PAYE, and pass our CQC inspection without a hitch.”
— Care Agency Owner, Midlands

Common Challenges I Hear from Care Providers

You're not alone — these are the most common issues I hear from domiciliary care and supported living providers:

❌ National Minimum Wage (NMW) Compliance Worries

“We’re unsure if our pay calculations — especially for sleep-ins and travel time — are compliant.”
We review your payroll setup to ensure you meet NMW obligations and avoid penalties.

❌ Unclear Financial Picture

“We don’t know which service lines are actually profitable.”

We give you service-level clarity so you can make smart decisions.

❌ Overwhelmed by Payroll and Staffing Admin

“PAYE, pensions, rotas, leave tracking — it’s a full-time job in itself.”

We automate it all so you can focus on care delivery, not admin.

❌ Poor Recordkeeping for CQC or Ofsted Inspections

“Our books are a mess and we’re stressed before every inspection.”

We organise and maintain your records to stay inspection-ready all year round.

❌ Wrong Structure for Growth

“All our homes are under one company — it’s messy and risky.”

We help you explore setting up separate entities to protect assets and simplify accounting.

❌ Cash Flow Uncertainty

“LA payments are always delayed, and we struggle to plan ahead.”

We create forecasts that help you plan salaries, bills, and investments with confidence.

Case Study
How I Helped GOTO Healthcare Get Spending Under Control

“Syed helped us create a clear budget and gave our house managers tools to stay within it. We've stopped overspending and have way more control over our finances.”
— Jennifer, Director, GOTO Healthcare

The Situation:

GOTO Healthcare runs multiple supported living homes across the UK. Jennifer wanted more financial control, but with different managers handling weekly spending, they were constantly exceeding budget — making cash flow unpredictable and audits stressful.

Our Approach:
  • Set up a monthly budget plan aligned with actual income and expected operating costs

  • Introduced weekly spending limits for house managers to track day-to-day expenses

  • Integrated company cards with custom limits to avoid overspending

  • Provided a simple dashboard to monitor budget vs actuals in real time

The Result:
  • Consistent spending control across all homes

  • Managers stayed within budget without back-and-forth

  • Fewer financial surprises and stronger year-end planning

  • More confidence in cash flow, especially during leaner months

Here are some common questions I get asked...

What actually happens during the free review?

I’ll jump on a quick call with you to review how your business is set up — from payroll structure and staffing costs to compliance and budgeting. You’ll get honest advice and walk away with clarity on what’s working, what’s not, and how you could improve — whether or not we work together.

I already have an accountant — can I still speak to you?

Of course. Many care providers I speak to already have an accountant, but they’re not always confident they’re getting sector-specific advice. A second opinion often brings up ways to improve compliance, save time, and reduce costs.

Do you only work with Ofsted or CQC-regulated providers?

Not at all. I work with supported accommodation providers, Ofsted and CQC-regulated homes, as well as non-registered services. If you provide care or housing support, I’ll help you get the structure, setup, and financial visibility right.

Can you help if I’m setting up a new care business?

Yes — in fact, it’s better to get advice early so we can guide you on entity setup, payroll planning, and compliance with local authority expectations. I’ll help you avoid costly mistakes from the start.

My setup is simple — is this still for me?

Absolutely. Whether you’ve got one house or a whole portfolio, we’ll identify quick wins to reduce admin, stay compliant, and understand your numbers — so you can make decisions with confidence.

Is this going to be a sales pitch?

Nope. That’s not how I work. This is a genuine, no-pressure review to see if I can help. If I can, I’ll explain how. If not, you’ll still walk away with more clarity than you had before.
